What is Colors
Colors of Success began in 1989 at one of the Salt Lake City’s most ethnic diverse High Schools that faced challenges of gangs, poverty, and high dropout rates among youth of color.
The program matured over the next few years into a prevention/intervention model for the entire state of Utah. In 1993-94 the Utah State Legislature passed HB-34 allocating money to conduct the Colors of Success gang prevention/intervention program through out the state.
